Create an effective Pinterest Marketing Strategy

by

Well, are you wondering why Pinterest is so much in trend and whether it is really a useful platform or not?

Are you still confused how to use Pinterest strategically?

Ok. If your answer is ‘yes’ for any of the above questions, then this post is simply meant for you. I will show you how easily but tactfully you can you bring traffic to your site and how can you convert your target audience.

“In social media, Pinterest is fastest growing social media site in both unique visitors and clicks on search engines”-  says comScore survey

1. Create clear and managed boards

Pinterest is mainly about pinning effective content on the organized boards. If you have managed and clear boards with relevant pins, then it becomes easier for the visitors to surf your boards. A careful classification of boards, understanding the audience can be really effective. Such as;  a jewelry portal owner can create one board displaying ear-ring, another for anklets, next one for necklace and so on. This would make it easier for the visitors to go to the boards of their interest. Effectively managed boards can easily convert your visitor in your customer persuading them promptly.

2. Try to pin more and more original Pins

As we have also read in the earlier post, that  80 percent of pins are re-pins, original and fresh pins have a lot of scope. Original and fresh pins would certainly win the attention of the visitors and that would end up being re-pinned. Also, you can always pin your original content with hyperlinks to the respective articles or product pages on your website.

3. Use Pinterest consistently

Pinterest can be an effective medium only when it is used consistently. The more active you are on Pinterest, the more followers and traffic you will have on your pages. Consistent engagement with fresh pins is crucial. You can take an image of your newly launched product, an infographic, a piece of effective content any many more to draw attention of the target audience.

4. Be easily ‘search-able’ and ‘share-able’

Let the audience know that you are available on Pinterest. Have a link of your Pinterest profile on your website, blog and also share it on different social media platforms. Use the content, URLs and titles tactfully which keeps you in lime light. You can also use the Pinterest API which would enable you to integrate and highlight your pins on the websites.

5. Use Humor and Information

Just like the other platforms of online selling, share the pins which give information (webinars) or which spread the message with humor. Do not put the pins just with simple product details or marketing punch lines. Try to be  little creative and spread the name of your brand in a way which leaves an imprint on the minds of the visitors.

While leveraging Pinterest, the most important point is ‘don’t be impatient’Sign up and create an account, share plenty of content with effective pins, keep the boards organized, follow people with the same interests, re-pin other’s pins, remain active, have the contests and then, see the results. Pinterest is just an another marketing platform to sell but the ideas of pitching the audience via it, can not be just the same. So, be creative and make the most out of this trendy social pinning platform.
